This year we planted a BIG garden. I am ready to can some tomatoes!!!! Right now we only have a few tomato plants ready to pick, but soon we'll have a BUNCH of tomatoes & I can't wait. I think I'm the only one in this house who really LOVES tomatoes. My hubby eats them every once in a while, but I could eat them everyday!! Last year I put a whole tomato on the grill and enjoyed it by myself. It was so yummy!!!! Tomatoes bring back the memory of my late Grandma Minnie. She use to eat tomatoes with sugar on them. I never cared for them that way, but I loved watching her enjoying them.

Our zucchini....we now have double this. I need to get to making some zucchini bread!!!
These didn't come from our garden, they came from the farm. My hubby brought them home for me. What a great guy!!!

My grandma always put sugar on her tomatoes, too. How funny! Our garden was a failure this year. We just did not have time to properly care for it! Our onions and cucumbers did pretty good. . .everything else is not looking so hot!
ReplyDeleteWe'll share!!! We are going to plant a fall crop August 1st....green beans, lettuce, zucchini & maybe more. Those crops always do better because the heat doesn't get to them!!!! I'll be bringing you some goodies soon :)
