4th of July....

A little late.  We spent our 4th at home relaxing.  We set up a pool for the kids and then sat in the shade & watched them swim their little hearts out :)

The little boys swimming.

They wanted a "diving board" so we gave them a bucket to jump off of :)

Camryn taking a Cheese Puff time out!!!!  All that swimming makes a kid hungry :)

This kid cracks me up.  Kadyn & Cooper were setting off Champaign poppers & Camryn just wanted to wear them.  He is too stinkin' funny.  I didn't get any pictures of the kids chasing down parachutes or enjoying their smoke bombs & sparklers.  Oh well....maybe next year.   Over all, it was a wonderful, relaxing weekend with beautiful weather!!!!!

Cookout.....

One of the nice things about working on the farm is getting to bring home some of the produce :)

I grilled kabobs the other night with homegrown onions & peppers.  We also had fresh peas, just picked the day before.    YUM!!!!!

We're still here....

Yes, it's been awhile since I've blogged.  We've been so busy with working on the farm that I've fallen behind on a BUNCH of things.....including my housework.

Well, the boys had 2 weeks of swimming lessons in June.  They did pretty good.  Kadyn only went under water a few times, he is doing better now, but he is not a water bug yet.   Cooper, on the other hand, he's a fish.  He goes under & swims for a little bit.  It's amazing how different these two are :)

Working on the farm.

My father-in-law has a farm which he grows produce on for the farmers market.  My kids love to go out there & help pick & wash the veggies plus play in the water. :)
This week he had surgery and was unable to work on the farm so our family headed out to help.  We picked peas yesterday & today.

It's a really great feeling getting out there & getting dirty.  I took a few pictures & then the little guys took my camera & captured some of their own memories.  :)

Big D picking peas!!!
The boys took a picture of our first basket of peas.
Camryn & Coopie playing at the farm
The boys took a picture of one of the planes that flew over.
Plus, the lovely rabbit poop :)
Camryn was tired from a long day of work at the farm!!!

Oops......

Well, I learned a valuable lesson the other day.  NEVER leave the salt & pepper shaker on the table when you have a 2 year old in the house :)

Camryn got the shakers and made a huge mess with them.  However, I did like his creativity.  What he did with the pepper makes me think that I am in for some fun pranks around this house as these boys get older.

Camryn poured pepper on his sleeping brother, Cooper.  I was thankful it was just on his arm, hand & pillow and not in his hair, ears or mouth :)  I am going to have my hands full with these 3.

Grilling made easy :)

Sunday I really didn't want to cook, but I did want to feed my kids something good.  I came across these recipes in the Martha Stewart Living magazine & had to give them a try.  They were too easy & VERY YUMMY!!!!

Martha's recipes included Beer-Steamed Potatoes, Mixed- Mushrooms & Baby Carrots all cooked in individual "hobo packs" or foil packs.
I also cooked chicken breast in a foil pack with a little bit of butter, salt, pepper & Italian season."

The potatoes

Mushrooms

Carrots-   I can't wait until our carrots are ready to be picked!!!

This was so easy, I just put the packs on the grill and sat with my feet up.  If I wasn't prego I would have enjoyed a beer while I waited :)

Memorial Day

This year the little boys & I headed to Wilson Lake to meet up with my family.  Hubby stayed home to get things done.  It's a lot easier to mow, weed eat, etc without 3 little ones asking for rides or tagging along.  Can't blame him.  Now, if I could just get him to take the kids for a day this house would be clean!! :)

The boys had SO much fun.  Grandpa has a boat & Uncle E has a jet ski, plus LOTS of cousins to play with!!

Camryn loved the water.  He played like this the entire time we were there.  He was                     pretty mad when we had to leave.

Grandpa taking the grandkids out on the boat!!  He's such a wonderful Grandpa!!!

Coopie loved the boat.  He went out later with Grandpa & Grandma & went to sleep.

Great weekend.  Plus, we went & visited some special people.  I didn't get to make it to Pratt to visit my mom or brother, (and many other wonderful family members) but they know I was thinking about them.
