I'm ready :)

Well, I'm 37 weeks and counting.  I am physically ready to have this baby girl, but my home is NOT!!  I have a lot of cleaning to do and some finishing touches on her room.

My hubby & I just had a date night last weekend and it was amazing.  It was LONG OVERDUE!!!!

Don't laugh too hard,  I'm 36 weeks along!!

                                                            Oh, my little men.

Baby Update

I just went to the doctor today and the baby is doing great.  I'm 33 weeks along and her heart rate was 147.  Since I have to have c-sections she will be here October 20th.

We are so excited, but I am not even close to having the house ready for her.  Lets hope the cool weather sticks around and we can find a few more hours in the day to accomplish all we need to do.  :)

1st day of preschool

It was Cooper's 1st day of Preschool.   He was kind-of excited.  He just really wants to be in Kindergarten like his big brother, so going to preschool isn't that fun to him :)

Camryn on the other hand is SO disappointed he can't go to school.  He cries almost every morning Kadyn gets on the bus because he wants to go. He also cries when we drop Cooper off too.  He wants to stay & learn.  Poor kid.  It's hard to explain to him that next year he can go to preschool!!!

This is the photo I got when I asked Cooper to show me is back pack.  He was less than thrilled.

This is at school.  He was tired of pictures.  He's too funny!!!

Open Houses

This week we had two Open Houses for the boys.  Kadyn loved going to his school & unloading all of his school supplies.  It was packed, but we were able to meet his teacher and make him feel more comfortable.

Cooper had a preschool Open House yesterday.  To him, it was same ol' same ol'.   He drew a picture while mommy signed up for a few things :)

We are back in our routine & I love it!!  Bed by 8:30 p.m.  Kadyn up & ready to get on the bus by 7:20 a.m. and Cooper to school at 9:00 a.m.

Kadyn at his new desk.
Cooper loved seeing everything Kadyn was going to be doing.  He can't wait until next year.

1st day of Kindergarten

It's hard to believe that my little guy is in Kindergarten now.  I think he was more excited about wearing a new dinosaur shirt & having a new dino backpack than he was about actually going to school :)

Cooper & Kadyn on Kadyn's 1st day of school.

I think the hardest part for me was letting him ride the bus to school.  He was excited about it, but it was hard for momma.  I guess he's growing up....like it or not :)

What a big kid!!!

When he got home all he told us was that school was fun.  We would ask him questions and he would just tell us....."Ummm, I think so" or "Ummm, I don't remember."  Maybe this little girl I'm having will be more willing to share stories of school with her mom.

It's gettin' busy!!!!

Well, it's officially that time of year......school!!  This year I have one in High School, one in Kindergarten, & one in preschool.

This week is full of activities.   I have a doctors appointment, which are now coming every two weeks.  The baby will be here before I know it.

Plus, we have 2 open houses & 2 kids starting school all crammed into this week :)
Not to mention our high schooler is playing Football so let the madness begin!!!  We love going to his games & his little brothers love cheering him on!!!!!!!!

Peaches

I just canned the best peaches.  My father-in-law gave me a big box of Missouri peaches and they were YUMMY.  The boys & I ate a bunch and then I canned the rest.

Unfortunately, our peach trees haven't done too well the past couple years.  They start off great & then a huge storm comes rolling through & knocks off most of the buds.....bummer.

Oh well, maybe next year!!!!!

From the garden

This year we planted a BIG garden.  I am ready to can some tomatoes!!!!  Right now we only have a few tomato plants ready to pick, but soon we'll have a BUNCH of tomatoes & I can't wait.    I think I'm the only one in this house who really LOVES tomatoes.  My hubby eats them every once in a while, but I could eat them everyday!!  Last year I put a whole tomato on the grill and enjoyed it by myself.  It was so yummy!!!!    Tomatoes bring back the memory of my late Grandma Minnie.  She use to eat tomatoes with sugar on them.  I never cared for them that way, but I loved watching her enjoying them.

The boys with their newly picked crop.

Our zucchini....we now have double this.  I need to get to making some zucchini bread!!!
These didn't come from our garden, they came from the farm.  My hubby brought them home for me.  What a great guy!!!
 My beautiful gladiolas!!!

4th of July....

A little late.  We spent our 4th at home relaxing.  We set up a pool for the kids and then sat in the shade & watched them swim their little hearts out :)

The little boys swimming.

They wanted a "diving board" so we gave them a bucket to jump off of :)

Camryn taking a Cheese Puff time out!!!!  All that swimming makes a kid hungry :)

This kid cracks me up.  Kadyn & Cooper were setting off Champaign poppers & Camryn just wanted to wear them.  He is too stinkin' funny.  I didn't get any pictures of the kids chasing down parachutes or enjoying their smoke bombs & sparklers.  Oh well....maybe next year.   Over all, it was a wonderful, relaxing weekend with beautiful weather!!!!!

Cookout.....

One of the nice things about working on the farm is getting to bring home some of the produce :)

I grilled kabobs the other night with homegrown onions & peppers.  We also had fresh peas, just picked the day before.    YUM!!!!!

We're still here....

Yes, it's been awhile since I've blogged.  We've been so busy with working on the farm that I've fallen behind on a BUNCH of things.....including my housework.

Well, the boys had 2 weeks of swimming lessons in June.  They did pretty good.  Kadyn only went under water a few times, he is doing better now, but he is not a water bug yet.   Cooper, on the other hand, he's a fish.  He goes under & swims for a little bit.  It's amazing how different these two are :)

Cool Kadyn with the lifeguard's sunglasses on :)
